Grid-tied
A grid-tied system works like an alternator. When energy can be sourced from the sun, the solar panels will generate electricity to fuel your requirements. Excess capacity is sold back into the local grid. Conversely, power is drawn from the mains grid to make up the shortfall when insufficient electricity is available.
Hybrid On-Grid
A hybrid system is still connected to the grid but reduces your reliance even further by storing excess power in batteries for use when the sun has set.
